When an animal dies that has been especially
close to someone here,
that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends
so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food and water and sunshine,
and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor;
those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again,
just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing:
they miss someone very special to them; who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together,
but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.
The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers.
Suddenly he begins to break away from the group,
flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
YOU have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet,
you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head,
and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet,
so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
THEN YOU CROSS RAINBOW BRIDGE TOGETHER...
Quand un animal qui a été particulièrement proche d'une
personne ici décède,
ce compagnon va au pont de l'arc en ciel.
Il y a des prés et des collines pour tous nos amis
afin qu'ils puissent courir et jouer ensemble.
Il y a plein de nourriture et d'eau et de soleil,
et nos amis sont au chaud et confortables.
Tous les animaux qui étaient vieux et malades
sont à nouveau plein de vitalité et de vigueur.
Ceux qui étaient blessés ou mutilés redeviennent entiers et forts à nouveau,
juste comme nous nous les rappelons dans nos rêves des jours et des temps
passés.
Les animaux sont heureux et contents, mis à part une petite chose :
ils s'ennuient de quelqu'un de très spécial pour eux ;
qui a dû être laissé derrière.
Ils courent tous et jouent ensemble,
mais un jour arrive où un d'entre eux soudain s'arrête
et regarde intensément au loin.
Les yeux lumineux guettent; Le corps impatient tremble.
Soudain il commence à se séparer du groupe, volant au-dessus de l'herbe verte,
ses pattes le portant de plus en plus vite.
TU a été repéré, et quand toi et ton ami particulier vous rencontrez
finalement
vous vous vous étreignez en une joyeuse réunion
pour ne plus jamais être séparés.
Des baisers heureux pleuvent sur ton visage; tes mains caressent la tête
aimée,
et tu regardes une fois de plus dans les yeux confiants de ton compagnon,
si longtemps disparu de ta vie mais jamais absent de ton coeur.
ALORS VOUS TRAVERSEZ ENSEMBLE LE PONT DE L'ARC EN CIEL.
